Objectives

The main goal of the project "The Forest Within Us" was to empower youth workers and leaders by providing them with practical tools and methods for integrating cultural creativity and nature-based activities into their daily work with young people. The project aimed to foster a deeper connection between youth and the natural environment, while promoting the benefits of non-formal education through outdoor and creative activities. The specific objectives of the project were as follows: - To explore and practically demonstrate the positive impact of creative and outdoor activities on youth development through non-formal learning. - To provide youth workers with tools, methods, and activities that could be adapted to their local contexts and applied in their countries. - To promote personal and social competencies, such as leadership, teamwork, and community belonging, through outdoor education and non-formal learning. - To encourage the design of innovative and nature-based activities, fostering creativity and the development of projects that bridge culture and nature. - To create a lasting network of collaboration among youth workers, allowing them to continue sharing resources, good practices, and knowledge even after the project’s conclusion. - To raise awareness of the importance of environmental sustainability and promote the integration of eco-conscious practices within youth work, contributing to the European Union's goals of climate action and sustainability. Overall, the project aimed to create an impact not only on the participants and their organizations but also on the local, regional, and European youth communities, fostering creativity, environmental responsibility, and cross-cultural exchange.
