We seek to create an event that gives participating youth workers the opportunity to meet in-person to develop and share visions at the local and international Migrantour network level, exchange good practices, and foster European cooperation around making narratives surrounding migration more inclusive. We aim: a) to improve the participating youth workers’ global citizenship competences, pedagogical tools and sense of belonging; b) to contribute to impacting local communities via the honing of a pedagogical approach and methodology that promote deeper recognition and appreciation of cultural diversity and inclusion; and finally c) to strengthen bonding, solidarity and co-creation among organisations throughout Europe that are working towards developing and advancing new experiential- and narrative-based approaches that foster greater social inclusion where people with migration backgrounds live, work, learn, play and love. From the perspective of youth work practice, it will be the chance for the youth workers involved to not only enhance their personal toolkits with new, high-quality knowledge, practices, and tools, but to also reinforce their sense of confidence in and ownership of the Migrantour approach and methodology.
