Objectives

This project arises from the need to provide tools, knowledge and skills to young volunteers, so that they can carry out comprehensive interventions from the promotion, protection and prevention of rights. In this way they can bring to their communities new actions that promote cohesion, empathy and the welfare of citizens regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, culture or age. The main objective of the project "The volunteer. Its role in the defense of the rights of children and youth" project is to generate a training space for volunteer workers in the field of youth, which contributes to and encourages the development of social participation in the promotion and protection of the rights of children and youth. "Volunteering gives the most marginalized in society an opportunity to participate in decision-making processes. Volunteers can make themselves heard to influence dialogues, challenge social norms and promote the values we all stand for. They are a critical part of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals," emphasized Ban Ki-moon former UN Secretary. Secondary objectives are: - Advise and give tools to experienced volunteers and those starting out in the field. - To encourage young people to enter the world of social cooperation by informing them of the benefits of volunteering on a personal and professional level. - Encourage European cooperation links of volunteering within the framework of existing associations in each region. - To offer alternative intervention tools with children and adolescents, such as leisure activities, art therapy and digital tools. - To promote inclusion and equality in diverse and foreign language environments. - Promote European unity in the framework of the human rights of children and minors as refugees and immigrants. - To offer the opportunity to implement communication in a foreign language (English). - Promote youth mobility at the European level. Volunteering strengthens civic engagement, fosters social inclusion and reinforces solidarity. Moreover, volunteering has an important ripple effect as it inspires others and drives social transformations for the common good.
