Unarguably, young unemployment as well as educational drop out rates are substantially elevated all around Europe, what is more, we as youth workers know that a high quantity of them feel demotivated and with low expectations towards their professional future. At the same time, youth suicide rates are quite worrying. On the other hand, there is not a significant improvement when we talk about adults, since we can observe a large majority of them feel unsatisfied and frustrated with their professional life. We believe that this fact has a direct relation with the lack of appreciation of diversity in terms of individuals ´needs, talents, intelligences, competences, interest and passions in the current Educational System. Our main objective in this project is to provide youth professionals with a set of tools and methodologies to help young people recognize their intelligences, competencies, talents and purposes. To be aware of their emotions, values and needs. All in all, a set of methodologies to help them decide and build their professional life based on their strengths and talents, to bring value to this society, while they feel satisfied and living their lives with well-being. Therefore, the main needs we address aligned with European priorities and strategies are: quality employment for all; mental health and wellbeing. Similarly, given the high rates of youth unemployment and school dropout across Europe, it is entirely understandable that addressing barriers related to the education and training system, while promoting inclusion and diversity, is considered one of the most important priorities of the European Union. Our project is fully framed to respond to this priority and this gap.In proposing this project, we are particularly aware of the fact that today's unmotivated and untrained young people could easily become unskilled adults, which in the near future would be a huge social and professional barrier. The main objective is therefore to train youth workers on a personal and professional level to be drivers of change in their associations and communities, so that they can help young people find their own motivations, believe in themselves and bring value to their communities through their professional choices. We believe this project can be a grain of sand that could contribute reducing the number of unemployed, unmotivated and dropout taxes, which in the long run could lead us to a more satisfied, responsible and conscientious individuals among our societies.
