Objectives

The "Violet View" project aims to address the issue of gender-based violence and the need for safe spaces for women in public environments from the perspective of a youth worker. Our goal is to create significant societal change in Europe by promoting equality and eradicating gender-based violence. To achieve this goal, we will focus on the following key aspects: - Youth Awareness and Prevention: We recognize the importance of involving young people in preventing gender-based violence and promoting gender equality. Therefore, our objective is to raise awareness and educate young people about the importance of "purple points" as a vital tool in preventing and responding to gender-based violence situations. We aim to foster a culture of respect and gender equity from an early age, empowering young people to become agents of change in their communities. - Creation of Safe Spaces for Youth: We are committed to ensuring that young people have access to safe spaces in public environments where they can feel protected and supported in case of facing abuse or aggression. Our goal is to establish "purple points" in various locations across Europe, including areas frequented by young people, such as festivals, sports events, and recreational spaces. - Training and Empowerment of Youth Workers: We recognize the fundamental role that youth workers play in promoting gender equality and preventing gender-based violence among young people. Therefore, we are committed to providing specialized training and educational resources to youth workers to strengthen their skills in addressing and preventing gender-based violence, as well as promoting healthy and respectful relationships among young people. - Promotion of Youth Participation: We seek to encourage the active participation of young people in creating and maintaining safe and violence-free environments in their communities. We are committed to involving young people in the design, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives related to "purple points," providing them with opportunities to express their opinions, ideas, and concerns about gender-based violence and gender equality. - Intergenerational Cooperation and Collaboration: We recognize the importance of collaboration between generations in the fight against gender-based violence. Therefore, we are committed to fostering dialogue and collaboration among youth workers, community leaders, and local authorities across Europe. We aim to establish strong and lasting partnerships that allow us to effectively address this common challenge from an intergenerational perspective. In summary, by implementing the "Violet View" project from the perspective of a youth worker, our goal is to promote a profound cultural change that leads to the creation of fairer, more equitable, and gender-based violence-free European societies, actively involving young people in this process of social transformation. We are committed to working in collaboration with young people, authorities, local communities, and all relevant stakeholders to realize this shared vision. The main objective of the project is to make our knowledge and experiences on this social movement available to all those working with youth to generate the multiplier effect that we have created in our territory, extending it this time to all participating countries. The specific objectives of the mobility are: - Facilitate the transfer of knowledge and experiences accumulated in the implementation and development of Violet Points. - Develop specific skills related to victim care, volunteer coordination, establishment of action protocols, etc. - Establish connections between organizations, professionals, and volunteers from different countries working in the field of equality and prevention of gender-based violence. - Develop educational materials, guides, and resources that can be used by professionals and volunteers to be effectively implemented in their local contexts. - Promote citizen participation and youth activism.
