Objectives

VASO was a training project aimed at promoting the values of solidarity, equality, and non-discrimination, especially in situations of inequality affecting the most disadvantaged. The project organized and systematized a series of actions to identify discriminatory situations, promoting critical reflection and individual responsibility in the face of social problems. The program was structured around four main areas, combining theoretical and practical content to achieve its objectives: • Identifying basic competencies related to equal treatment, non-discrimination, and its different types. • Promoting critical thinking based on social rights, civic values, and social and digital transformation. • Defining and interpreting the concept of solidarity, working in areas of solidarity intervention through reflection processes and the creation of attitudinal competencies. • Informing and raising awareness about solidarity actions from the local to the international level, promoting cooperation and volunteer programs. In addition to technical training, the project also sought to strengthen social skills through talks, lectures, and activities that promoted socialization, integration, cultural awareness, self-esteem, and communication. The project worked to create critical awareness of global injustices and inequalities, highlighting the importance of adopting supportive and committed attitudes. The project incorporated elements from other disciplines and arts as educational tools to raise awareness about equal treatment and foster critical reflection through non-formal education. Finally, concrete solidarity actions were carried out, aimed at supporting people in vulnerable situations, and disseminated using electronic and traditional media to amplify their impact.
