The project Train (in) course aims to carry out a professional development mobility in the community of Cirat to train 18 youth workers from 8 European countries. The proposal focuses on equipping these participants with innovative tools, utilizing participatory artistic methodologies, non-formal education activities, experiential learning, and other creative methodologies applicable in their daily work with their target groups. The initiative focuses on addressing the challenges of rural development and depopulation in rural areas, particularly using participatory artistic methodologies such as the Theatre of the Oppressed (image theatre and forum theatre), co-creation, body expression, storytelling, creative writing, Biodanza, and improvisational theatre. This creative approach primarily aims to foster intercultural dialogue, enabling participants to share their experiences from diverse urban and rural environments. Additionally, it seeks to highlight the realities faced by young people in rural and peripheral environments, emphasizing common challenges such as isolation, lack of resources, and limited opportunities in both contexts. The immersion in the local reality of Cirat will involve ethnographies and research processes, allowing participants to connect more deeply with the stories and challenges of these communities. Community participation will be strengthened by creating a network of young people from rural and peripheral communities, supported by innovative and participatory methodologies. A specific objective of the project is the co-creation of a forum theatre piece, led by youth workers. This piece will be performed in four villages in the province of Castellón and the youth workers will be transported with a touristic train. The objective of the is to create a space for dialogue and reflection with the local community and collectively envisioning new possible scenarios. In summary, the project not only aims to support educators in expressing their concerns through various artistic methodologies and the co-creation process but also to equip them with valuable skills and tools applicable in their communities, promoting innovation, recognition, and quality in youth work.
