The #Erasmusplus project focuses on using social networks as a key tool to promote European values and the Erasmus+ program from the perspective of youth work practice. The objectives of this project are the following: Assessment of social networks: our first objective is to assess the potential of social networks to foster the active participation of young people in society and to promote a more ethical and democratic use of these platforms. We want to understand how social networks can be used as effective channels to reach out to young people and promote European values. Skills development and critical awareness: We seek to provide youth workers and young people with the skills and practical knowledge necessary to use social media effectively in educational and youth work contexts. In addition, we want to encourage critical reflection on the risks, challenges, opportunities and obstacles associated with the use of social media in the promotion of European values. Promotion of European values: One of our main objectives is to use social networks as a means to disseminate European values and to raise awareness of all the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ program. We want young people and youth workers to understand and embrace these values as a fundamental part of their European identity. Non-formal and collaborative education methodology: Our methodology is based on non-formal education and collaborative learning methods, which include activities such as games, workshops, lectures and teamwork. We want to ensure that the learning process is interactive and participatory. Skills development of youth workers: Recognizing the growing importance of social networking in society at large, the project seeks to help youth workers develop their skills in this area, preparing them to face the challenges of a constantly changing work environment. This will contribute to better training of professionals working with young people in Europe. Sharing resources and best practices: We will facilitate the exchange of experiences, tools and strategies among participants and partner organizations to improve youth work. We want to create a bank of resources and good practices that can benefit all those involved in the promotion of European values through social networks. Community building: In addition, our project aims to establish a community involving partner organizations and youth workers. We want to maintain communication and information exchange even after the end of the project, fostering future collaborations and an ongoing support network for those working with young people in Europe. In short, through the #Erasmusplus project, we aim to effectively use social media to promote European values, the Erasmus+ program and improve youth work practice. We want to equip youth workers with the necessary skills and foster a continuous learning community to contribute to a brighter future for young Europeans.
