Objectives

This training course seeks to achieve a transformative impact on youth work by integrating innovative art therapy and improvisation techniques through movement, music and spoken word. Through this integration, we aim to empower youth workers with enhanced skills and competencies that directly address the evolving needs of young people in contemporary society. We seek to equip youth workers with practical tools and methodologies founded on the principles of non-formal education, allowing them to create dynamic and engaging learning environments for young people. By incorporating improvisational techniques, we intend to enhance the skills of youth workers to facilitate experiential learning and encourage creative expression among their beneficiaries. In addition, the project places a strong emphasis on therapeutic wellbeing through art in youth work practice. By promoting body awareness, emotional expression and stress management techniques through art, we seek to support youth workers in promoting the mental and physical development of young people. Through activities such as guided movement sessions and mindfulness practices using artistic techniques, participants will cultivate a greater sense of self-awareness and resilience, empowering them to better support the well-being of the youth they serve.
