Objectives

The primary goal of the project is to enhance the ecological literacy skills of participating youth workers and increase their competencies, thereby providing youth workers who can think creatively and initiate local transformations in countries that have not yet reached an adequate level ecologically. Additionally, by introducing a culture of sustainable living, the project aims to inform participants comprehensively about Europe's sustainability goals, thereby increasing the inclusiveness of Europe's green policies across the continent. Throughout the project, a participatory organizational structure was created where youth workers actively participated in every process without resorting to traditional educational methods, making great use of peer teaching. Thus, the aim was to prepare participants to initiate green initiatives in their own regions. Beneficiaries of the project will not only be participants, but also include the local community, with plans to increase awareness and inform the local population about the project topic through a small-scale competition organized entirely by participants, planned to be held in Valencia, the 2024 European Green Capital. Additionally, when planning workshops, the skills required for both a youth worker and an ecological literacy advocate were taken into consideration, so at the end of the project, not only will more equipped youth workers be obtained, but also partner organizations will be supported to produce higher quality projects ecologically. The project, by addressing ecology, sustainability, green technologies, recycling, factors threatening ecological life, waste, and zero waste strategies, and aiming to train competent youth workers in this field, indirectly aims to increase green areas, contribute to countries' ecological goals, strengthen Europe's environmental development through inter-organizational and inter-individual knowledge transfer, enhance the impact of green policies, and announce potential steps contributing to ecological sustainability to everyone through the booklet to be created. To successfully achieve these goals, the high motivation and creativity of young people will be maximally utilized and guided.
