As discussed throughout this project proposal, the main objective of the project is to develop a synergistic network in which the participating countries can share their experiences related to the areas studied. The objective is to work on a series of strategies aimed at raising awareness of responsibility towards animals and the environment. It is intended, on the one hand, that each of the participants will come to understand the proposed objectives, as well as a wider public to whom the informative and educational material elaborated during the project will be sent. Thus, the objectives of the project are as follows: GENERAL OBJECTIVES: •To show the reality of animal rights in our countries . • To promote the conservation of biological diversity of ecosystems, habitats and biomes. • To allow each person to feel belonging to society. • To promote youth with critical thinking. • To create a meeting space where the concerns and thoughts of the most environmentally active young people.• To consolidate a social bond between the young participants. • To encourage values such as respect, tolerance, equality and solidarity; the values of social cohesion in the EU. • To promote knowledge of other cultures and mutual understanding by sharing experiences. • To create a European awareness among the participants. • To share socio-cultural experiences of interest and promoting intercultural dialogue. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES -To understand the animal welfare laws in our countries. -Reflect on our responsibility as pet owners. -Understand our responsibility as citizens to the animals around us. -To discover the repercussion of our actions (buying products that do not ensure a good treatment of animals, going to zoos, watching videos of covert mistreatment in social networks...). -To know the role of animal shelters in our cities. -To differentiate concepts such as "dangerous breeds", "invasive species", "illegal pet trade"... -To see what is behind the purchase of pets. -To understand the importance of population control to ensure the protection of certain animals, such as cats. -Promote education at an early age to understand the importance of the existence of laws that protect animals. The objectives presented above can be approached both from the point of view of a common citizenship, as well as from the labor point of view. In the latter case, we will proceed with an analysis: -On the one hand, those people who are professionally engaged in some field related to the subject matter of the training course, will take with them knowledge, practical experience and a source of resources to apply in their countries of origin. -On the other hand, those who are professionally engaged in group management and environmental and respectful education will learn new strategies and dynamics, taking with them a compendium of new proposals to implement with the users of their organizations. -Finally, it is necessary to talk about the impact for those professionals who do not work in this field, since with this project they will be able to develop the following competences and skills: * Teamwork skills: practically all the activities will be carried out in groups. * Critical spirit: they will have to learn to analyze the information presented to them in order to be able to elaborate argued opinions on the topics presented in the project. * Greater empathic capacity: during the project they will work with real cases of abandoned animals, with special emphasis on the extermination measures of invasive species "plagues". * Debate skills: in addition to debate activities, in order to organize each of the group activities they will have to agree on what and how they are going to approach it, beyond the guidelines provided by the organizing association (Sustinea). *Decision-making: related to the above, they will have to make a series of decisions that will allow them to develop the activities they are expected to propose. In addition, it is expected that, at the end of the project they will elaborate their own criteria and position based on what they have learned, having to make decisions about the assimilation of the information with cirteria they have investigated or the simple position of the uninformed opinion. *Project design and development: even before the start of the project, they must carry out an abstraction exercise to understand, firstly, the theme that is most related to their experiences, work, life or motivations. Secondly, they should think about all the elements included in an activity (duration, materials, development...).
