With the training “Sharing good practices for youth exchanges” we aimed to promote a more active and meaningful participation of young people in youth exchanges, in line with the objectives of “Goal 5: Participation” of the European Youth Goals, as well as to train professionals, youth leaders and volunteers in the youth field through the exchange and knowledge of good practices and experiences related to the active participation of young people in all phases and actions of youth exchanges in particular and youth participation in general. The specific objectives worked on were the following: 1. to share and exchange good practices, as well as methods, educational approaches, strategies and tools in relation to youth participation and youth exchanges through activities based on non-formal and informal education methods. 2. To collectively create a guide of good practices worked and shared during the training in order to contribute to increase the quality of youth exchange projects. 3. To offer learning and mobility opportunities for youth workers, youth leaders, volunteers and organizations with different backgrounds and levels of experience. 4. To encourage youth workers and volunteers to empower young people to take leading roles and responsibilities both in youth exchanges in Europe, as well as in other actions and projects they carry out in their communities, at the local level. 5. Promote ideas on youth-centered actions so that, from the end of childhood, young people can have a participatory action in their community, which will lead them to better understand civic participation and be active agents in society. 6. To promote the recognition of youth work at local, regional, national and European level through cooperation with partner organizations and through actions of dissemination and visibility of the work developed with the youth collective.
