The Weaving Glances (Tejiendo Miradas) project has sought to share the concerns, worries, and good practices of European professionals who work with young people in open environments (Street Youth Work Professionals) regarding the increase in hate speech and discrimination among youth. To support the task of confronting hate on the streets and on social media, and to help counteract the emergence of specific violence against certain groups of people, specific training has been provided. This training aimed to tackle hoaxes and disinformation, provide analytical tools from an intersectional perspective, and delve deeper into awareness-raising, critical thinking, and decolonial thought. Thus, the stated general objectives – to generate awareness and critical discourse among street education professionals in response to the social breakdown in the societies we live in, and to equip them with innovative methodologies and tools for social and community development – have been achieved. It is true, however, that interest remains in continuing to work along the same lines, and this will be the case in future meetings led by partner organisations.
