Proyecto Kieu is an association focused on local development in La Sagra (Toledo), Spain, with the main objective of promoting social development and active participation of young people in the community. Given the challenging socio-economic context in La Sagra, where many young people face economic, educational, and employment issues, the project focuses on those with fewer opportunities. Among the main challenges facing the youth population are the lack of public transportation, limited organizational capacity in local administrations, prevalence of unskilled jobs with no promotion prospects, high school dropout rates, and the significant presence of immigrants with cultural differences. With the "Explorail" project, the aim is to provide a group of young people with the opportunity to travel across Europe by train, stepping out of their comfort zone and exposing themselves to the unknown. After the trip, their experience will be used to promote the DiscoverEU inclusion program and organize events where they can share their experiences and motivate other young people to follow their example.
