The project "EURing, Discovering Europe," carried out by the OFFLírico Association with support from the Coslada City Council and the Departments of Citizen Participation, Culture, and Youth, is dedicated to providing an enriching and transformative experience for 5 talented youths from Coslada and the Henares Corridor. These young individuals, who have faced significant challenges due to geographical, socioeconomic, cultural, and educational barriers, will be immersed in a journey that not only seeks to overcome these barriers but also inspires them to be active agents of social change. Through a deep exploration of European culture and art, EURing promotes inclusion, diversity, environmentalism, digital transformation, and civic spirit, approaching a local travel experience with a more integrated and participatory approach. ·Project Objectives The core of EURing focuses on: -Promoting Inclusion and Diversity: By selecting young individuals from various backgrounds, the project aims to promote cultural and social integration, valuing differences and fostering mutual respect. .Environmentalism at the Heart of the Journey: The project will integrate activities that raise awareness about the importance of sustainability and respect for the environment, including visits to natural spaces and the adoption of ecological travel practices. .Boosting Digital Transformation: Through training in digital skills, participants will use technology to document their experiences, sharing their learnings and fostering awareness of the impact of digitalization on society. .Developing Civic Spirit: The project will encourage the active participation of young people in society by engaging with institutions and organizations that promote active citizenship and community commitment. I.mmersion in Art and Culture: Participants will explore the richness of European art and culture through visits to museums, art workshops, and meetings with local creators, promoting intercultural dialogue and creative expression. ·Implementation Methodology EURing stands out for its approach to offering authentic local experiences, allowing young people to learn directly from the communities they visit and avoid the contemporary perspective of tourism that has ceased to visit cities and instead only consumes them. ·Dissemination and Sharing Experiences The project is committed to sharing its successes and results through multiple platforms and events, including digital media, collaborations with local and educational media, and active participation of the youth in the project's narrative. The dissemination strategy will focus on highlighting the importance of social inclusion, intercultural learning, and the personal and professional development of the young participants. With the firm support of the Coslada City Council and the respective Departments, EURing embodies the spirit of Erasmus+ by providing young people with fewer opportunities a path towards personal and cultural discovery, enriching their education and fostering a more inclusive society aware of the diversity and cultural richness of Europe.
