The project aims to address the specific needs and challenges faced by young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, especially regarding the lack of opportunities to understand and embrace sustainable living practices. Our intention is to provide these young people with the opportunity to explore and learn from innovative initiatives in Europe that address environmental sustainability and connection with nature. From the perspective of youth work, the project aims to address various objectives: - Foster inspiration and empowerment of young people by exposing them to sustainable and innovative experiences in Europe. The objective is to awaken their interest and confidence to design a more sustainable future connected to nature. - Promote awareness of sustainability among participants, allowing them to explore sustainable practices and projects in different environments, such as ecovillages, communities and cities. The aim is for them to acquire practical knowledge and a deeper understanding of the importance of sustainability in their lives. - Facilitate the active participation of young people with fewer opportunities, promoting inclusion and cultural diversity. The project seeks to create a space where all participants feel valued, regardless of their circumstances, thus promoting social inclusion. - Provide opportunities for the personal and professional development of young people, especially those with fewer opportunities. This includes strengthening skills such as autonomy, planning, organization and teamwork, as well as facilitating the exploration of possible vocations and passions. - Stimulate active citizenship and social participation by exposing young people to sustainable and community initiatives. The aim is for them to acquire a sense of civic responsibility and become agents of change in their communities. - Facilitate the understanding and appreciation of European multiculturalism. Through cultural exchange and the exploration of diverse traditions, the aim is for young people to feel part of a multicultural Europe, understanding the richness of different identities and cultures. - Establish a non-formal learning environment where young people can develop skills and knowledge in a participatory manner. Learning through experience, dialogue and reflection will be encouraged, moving away from traditional educational approaches.
