Objectives

We have two main goals under our accreditation: 1- International skill exchange and networking between youth workers and cross-sectoral cooperation to bring youth work forward. Including creating capacity building opportunities for youth workers.Which implies welcoming newcomers: youth workers or organizations with no previous experience of participation or organizing international experiences within Erasmus+ by introducing them to the program via low-threshold participation opportunities including networking with more experienced partners, cross-sectoral cooperation and interactions, involvement of local Eastern Finland youth workers in activities with participation of youth workers from other regions of Finland and abroad. Personal experience and new connections allow more confidence in new initiatives, partnerships for new projects and support from more experienced partners in their activities. International skill exchange ensurance support of good partnership principles and upholding the values and goals of EU youth goals and quality standards of Erasmus program. Actvities that focus on spreading good practices and know-how in the youth field, including environmental education, digital skills, non-formal learning and peer exchange. 2- International opportunities for rural youth: youth exchanges and international non-formal learning activities. This objective implies engaging newcomers to international cooperation and organizing low-threshold participation opportunities. It will help young people from Eastern Finland to overcome feeling of being alienated, and bring remote areas closer to the EU be creating international encounters. It will be an empowering experience and a practical step advancing active citizenship. Easmus+ opportunities are especially important for young people who arefacing various obstacles, including geographical, cultural (youth with migrant backgrounds or refugees), economic and others. A mobility abroad is a scary experience for a lot of youngsters. To ease them in and help build self-esteem we will involve them in youth exchanges organized first locally, and then they can go for other exchanges abroad. We want to gradually increase their participation in exchanges. Virtual preparation stage of exchange will help bring down the wall of language barrier and initial shyness.
