The aim of the project was to strengthen young people's health, both physical and mental, and to increase their self-confidence, self-esteem and courage. It also aimed to mobilise young people to participate and change the world and society through their own actions. The aim of the exchange was to increase a sense of community and team spirit among the young people in the group, so that they learn to appreciate and respect each other despite their different backgrounds. The young people not only got to see but also experience diversity in many forms - be it food, housing, culture, social practices or the environment. This experience increased young people's understanding of the world and strengthened their ability to face and accept differences. Throughout the project, the facilitators acted as role models and showed how to work together, even if they do not share a common language. The facilitators also stressed that English does not have to be perfect and that plans can change on short notice. In this way, the young people learnt that mistakes and failures are part of life and that no one is perfect. This experience helped young people to understand that people are fallible and human, and that challenges are part of life. The project also aimed to learn about different practices and approaches between partners. In addition, the aim was to work together on this project, to develop language and international skills and to learn professionally from colleagues in different countries. Overall, the aim of the project was to provide young people with the opportunity to learn independence and courage, to provide the opportunity to see diversity, to learn new things and to enable them to experience being able to be active and courageous in different environments, surrounded by different people.
