The main objective of implementing the project was to comprehensively promote youth work in Kymenlaakso, taking into account individual, group, and organizational levels as well as various youth work practices. The goals included learning from best practices related to, among other things, substance education, strengthening school collaboration, promoting participatory work, building community, anti-bullying efforts, supporting mental health, increasing network collaboration, and developing international youth work. From the practical perspective of youth work, the project aimed to develop participants' professional skills, support internationalization, and introduce new working methods. Additionally, the project sought to strengthen regional collaboration and increase the visibility of youth work. Participants were expected to benefit from the project in their daily work with young people, both during and after the project. The impacts included professional development, improved language skills, regional networking, enhanced work well-being, and inspiration to create innovative approaches to youth work. Another key objective of the project was to raise awareness of Finnish youth work and culture internationally. The project included a study visit for youth workers to Slovenia, where they gained a deeper understanding of Slovenian youth work, broadened their perspectives, and brought new ideas and approaches into their own work. After the project, several measures will be implemented to promote youth work at different levels. These include sharing best practices within participants' own organizations, integrating practical insights gained during the project into daily activities, organizing a follow-up event or activity, and continuing collaboration both regionally and internationally. Through all these measures, the aim is to ensure that the learning experiences, outcomes, and best practices from the project endure and continue to have a positive impact on youth work even after the project has ended.
