Through this project — the first higher education mobility plan carried out by GIP FTLV de l'académie de Besançon under the ECHE charter — our ambition was to rebalance international mobility opportunities in favour of apprentices, a group sometimes left out of traditional exchange schemes despite their strong potential for professional integration. The aim was twofold: to challenge the assumption that Erasmus+ mobility is reserved for general or technological education tracks, and to turn the experience into a genuine skills accelerator for young people in vocational higher education (BTS, DNMADE). Concretely, the objective was to provide a structured framework for developing key skills: technical English proficiency in a real professional context, adaptability to varied working environments, and stronger employability in an increasingly international labour market. Institutionally, the project builds on our existing experience with school-level and pre-bachelor apprenticeship mobility, and lays the groundwork for future cooperation partnerships (KA2) with European counterparts.
