Objectives

International outreach remains a key priority for the team. Partnerships are currently being revived and remain a daily focus as we work towards the objectives set out many years ago. Recognising the need to promote inclusion, we do our utmost during mobility information sessions to encourage eligible young people to see their applications through to the end and take part in a European experience. Objective 1: To continue offering work placements in Europe to our Higher Technical Certificate (BTS) students who are interested in and motivated by a mobility programme that meets the requirements of their qualifications. The project aimed to enable first-year students to undertake a work placement. These placements are designed to enable students to gain the skills required to obtain the BTS: - Module U52 ‘Site Supervision’ for the BTS in Timber Construction Systems and Housing (SCBH) - Module E6 ‘Case Study in an Industrial Setting’ for the BTS in Timber Product Development (DRB). Objective 2: To emphasise the discovery of other cultures and the intercultural dimension of mobility programmes for students, administrative staff and teachers. Objective 3: To further encourage students from modest backgrounds and/or with learning difficulties to take part in mobility programmes.
