The KA131 project of Lycée Théodore Aubanel aimed to strengthen the European dimension of its higher education programmes, particularly the BTS programmes in Management Support and Tourism, by offering students the opportunity to complete their compulsory work placement in a company located in another European country. The traineeships organised in Spain, Malta and Ireland were intended to help students develop professional skills in a real working environment, improve their foreign-language proficiency, become more autonomous and adaptable, and gain a better understanding of professional and cultural practices in other European countries. The project also sought to improve participants’ employability, self-confidence and willingness to undertake future mobility. Staff training mobilities in Italy and Spain aimed to provide opportunities to observe other teaching and organisational practices, develop professional skills, strengthen links with European partners and encourage the transfer of acquired knowledge and practices within the institution. The project was part of the school’s internationalisation strategy and reflected the commitments of the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education. Particular attention was paid to equal access to mobility, support for participants with fewer opportunities, environmental sustainability, digital transformation and the development of open and inclusive European citizenship.
