Objectives

The Erasmus+ programme contributes to the internationalisation of ESTIA students’ academic journeys, but it also serves as a key driver of the institution’s internationalisation strategy. Since mobility is a mandatory component of delivering an engineering degree, the Erasmus+ programme is fully integrated into students’ academic programmes : 20 weeks for students and 12 weeks for apprentices. Since 2023, we have been an associate member of the European EU4Dual alliance and the leader of WP6, a work package whose functions are primarily focused on the mobility of all types of stakeholders promoted by the alliance (students, faculty, staff, doctoral students, and industry representatives), as well as on the creation of educational content for the alliance’s nine members (development of BIPs, dual degrees, and an internship database). It is also a crucial work package toward which all other work packages converge, as it enables the alliance’s collaborative actions to be realised through mobility. Funding for mobility under this agreement reflects three major priorities: - increasing intra-European and international mobility opportunities for our students - implementing initiatives launched and led by the EU4Dual alliance - expanding new forms of mobility, particularly short-term mobilities and BIPs This momentum is reflected in a significant increase in funded mobility, for both study and internship mobility as well as staff mobility: This trend has resulted in a significant increase in the number of funded mobility activities, including study, internship, and staff mobility: study mobility increased from 31 to 66, internship mobility from 30 to 36, and staff mobility from 2 to 11. It is important to note that some of the mobility activities funded under this agreement—notably three short-term mobility activities (three BIPs developed as part of EU4Dual) and a portion of the internship mobility activities carried out during the agreement’s eligible period—took place during the 2025–2026 academic year. These mobilities resulted from collaborative initiatives developed over the previous two years by the nine associate members: The first two years were primarily focusing on establishing the framework, identifying synergies among partners, and designing joint programs.
