Objectives

The project primarily aimed to strengthen the capacities of adult education actors in order to better support young refugees towards sustainable socio-economic integration. More specifically, it focused on developing the skills of trainers, educators, and volunteers in social entrepreneurship and digital tools, enabling them to deliver more inclusive, tailored, and innovative training that can be directly applied in their professional practices. Another key objective was to equip partner organizations with concrete pedagogical resources, notably a structured, tested, transferable, and reusable training plan across different European contexts. The project also aimed to promote the exchange of good practices and transnational cooperation, thereby enhancing the quality, coherence, and operational effectiveness of educational approaches. Finally, the project aimed to empower young refugees by valuing their skills and supporting them in developing concrete entrepreneurial pathways, thus contributing to their social, economic, and civic inclusion within host societies.

Background

We applied for this project to address a clearly identified dual need: on the one hand, the lack of specific skills among trainers and educators working with young refugees (particularly in social entrepreneurship and inclusive digital pedagogies); and on the other hand, the socio-economic integration challenges faced by these groups, who are often underutilized despite their potential. The preliminary analysis conducted by the partners highlighted concrete gaps: a lack of adapted pedagogical tools, limited mastery of digital and entrepreneurial approaches, and insufficient methodological frameworks to effectively support these young people towards autonomy. In addition, the partner organizations had complementary but fragmented experiences, requiring better alignment at the European level. The project therefore responds to an operational need to strengthen the capacities of adult education professionals, enabling them to deliver innovative, inclusive, and tailored learning pathways. It also aims to transform the perception of young refugees by recognizing and promoting their potential to become active economic and social actors through digital entrepreneurship.
