Our project aimed to strengthen awareness and self-management through a teaching strategy focused on social and emotional learning. We wanted to improve life skills, active citizenship and school performance, while reducing problems related to stress and lack of motivation. The inclusion of disadvantaged students and the promotion of well-being at school were at the heart of our approach. We had to train staff in effective management and anti-bullying, creating positive and safe learning environments. Students had to be made aware of cyberbullying and had to develop emotional skills through theater activities, yoga, games and social actions. The project was to produce a mindfulness booklet, an anti-bullying magazine, empathy clubs, a mental health workshop and inclusive storytelling projects, contributing directly to Erasmus+ priorities on core skills and educational equity.
Social and emotional learning skills must be developed from early childhood to promote academic success. The failure of children aged 6 to 10 is often explained by factors such as screen addiction, family difficulties, bullying or precariousness. Our project aimed to strengthen self-awareness, emotional regulation and social awareness through modern methods: mindfulness, creative theater, yoga, art therapy, orientation and health education. These actions will encourage positive behaviour, reduce stress and strengthen the sense of belonging to the school. Students will learn how to use technology consciously and fight cyberbullying. Teachers must develop professional skills in inclusive education and school well-being, adopting innovative and collaborative approaches, in the spirit of the eTwinning 2024 theme "Well-being at school".
