Our objectives were to enrich teaching practices through innovative and experiential methods, strengthen European cooperation between partner schools, improve students’ climate literacy, and develop key competences such as critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and intercultural awareness. We also wanted to help students connect environmental issues with real life and encourage them to become more active and responsible in their schools and communities.
We applied for this project to improve the quality of school education on climate change and to respond to a clear need in our schools: students needed more engaging, practical, and meaningful learning experiences in this field, while teachers needed more innovative methods to teach climate-related topics effectively. As educators, we believe it is essential to prepare young people to become responsible, informed, and active citizens who can understand environmental challenges and contribute to a more sustainable future.
