The objectives we hoped to achieve by implementing this project are as follows: - To improve the well-being of Ukrainian students by breaking their isolation and enabling them to interact with students from the three partner institutions on various topics: the teaching practices in their country, as well as other topics of their choice. - To raise awareness among professors and students about the situation of Ukrainian professors and students. - To learn from the teaching conditions of our Ukrainian colleagues and create new joint educational content based on this experience. - To improve the coherence between a selection of courses.
We applied for this project for the following reasons/needs: - Ukrainian students in a war zone are unable to travel, and we wanted to organize meetings between them and students from partner institutions to alleviate their isolation and improve their well-being. - Ukrainian professors have experienced, and continue to experience, teaching in difficult conditions (logistical and psychological), and it seemed to us that sharing this experience could be doubly beneficial: to inform other partners (students, professors) about their working conditions, but also to learn lessons and best practices. This leads to the next point: - Using this experience, we will create new educational content. - Higher education mainly relies on the transmission of specialized knowledge. Sometimes, these specialized courses are not coherent with each other. One of the motivations for the project was therefore to revisit some courses to create a stronger connection between them.
