The mobilities presented in this report, entitled “MEED2” and “MEED3,” form part of the broader action plan of the MEED Network (Music Europe Education). This network aims to foster encounters, exchanges, and joint professional development among European music educators working in the field of music education for children and adolescents. Through the implementation of these mobilities, participating professionals are given the opportunity to share the pedagogical approaches they use and to draw inspiration from the experiences of their European peers, regardless of the musical genres they teach (classical, folk, or contemporary music, etc.) or the types of institutions in which they work (associations, music schools, conservatories, etc.). These two mobilities build upon and extend the experience of the “MEED1” mobility organised in March 2024. The MEED network is designed to ensure that each participant benefits from exposure to the diverse practices implemented across the different participating countries. The activities carried out contribute not only to the acquisition of knowledge and professional skills but also to rich intercultural exchange arising from engagement with the historical, social, economic, and political contexts of each country. This intercultural dialogue helps to strengthen a shared sense of European identity and belonging. Objectives of the MEED Network The MEED network pursues three main objectives: To facilitate connection and exchange among stakeholders in music education at local, regional, and European levels. To promote the dissemination of teaching methods and pedagogical tools across Europe. To encourage operational cooperation among music education professionals at local, regional, and European scales. Progress and Impact (2024–2025) The 2024–2025 period has been dedicated to consolidating the network by strengthening Objective 1, which focuses on expanding participation to new organisations. At the same time, significant progress has been made on Objective 2, notably through the creation of a shared Canva resource page that brings together all pedagogical materials: https://meednetwork.my.canva.site/info/#home . Overall, the achievement of these objectives enables participants to enhance their professional competences through cooperation, knowledge exchange, and the sharing of educational tools. In the medium term, the activities carried out under the MEED network contribute to improving the quality of participants’ engagement with young people and JAMO. This improvement is achieved through the adoption of innovative pedagogical methods, the exploration of new organisational models, the enhanced circulation of pedagogical knowledge at the European level, and the development of new partnerships between youth-focused organisations integrated within the network.
