The project is part of Concordia’s strategy to improve the quality of educational activities carried out with young people on environmental issues and European citizenship. In a context of growing concerns about climate change and eco-anxiety, it appeared necessary to provide youth workers and young people with practical tools to address these topics in a positive, pedagogical and participatory way. Through the mobilities SAVE (Support Awareness and Values about Environment) and FLOW (Fostering Learning for Outdoor Workshops), the project aimed to strengthen the competences of young people and youth workers in designing and facilitating environmental education activities using non-formal education methods and experiential learning. The main objectives of the project were : - To develop participants’ knowledge on environmental topics (water, soil, ecology, eco-anxiety, civic engagement) - To strengthen their pedagogical skills and their ability to design workshops for other young people - To promote active, participatory and intercultural learning methods - To encourage young people’s engagement in local actions related to environmental issues - To foster European cooperation and the exchange of good practices between youth actors. The project also aimed to turn participants into multipliers, able to reuse the acquired tools in their local organisations and future youth activities.
