Objectives

Concordia is a popular education association that promotes mobility and, since its creation, has had the aim of sharing and meeting people to encourage “living together”. Our association's actions are aimed at discovery, inclusion, training and exchanges between people, to encourage mobility and learning for all and by all. These objectives are in line with the European Union's strategy for inclusion and diversity. With this project, we wanted to continue to promote these values and enable young people and youth workers to enjoy enriching experiences thanks to the Erasmus+ program, in the service of local communities and sustainable regional development. We wanted to encourage the involvement of local partners in our project and strengthen the bonds of solidarity between local players. We also hoped to have an impact on decision-makers and funders of public youth policies, by raising their awareness of the added value of solidarity and mobility experiences for young people and youth workers. A unanimous observation by players working in the field of citizenship education and international mobility is that we often address the same people, and in particular those who are already convinced. We regularly discuss this idea within the framework of the various networks and groups to which we contribute at local (Résolidaire 69), regional (Cotravaux Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, CRAJEP Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes...) and international levels (Alliance of European Voluntary Service Organisations, CCIVS...). One of the major challenges of our project was therefore to reach out to those most remote from mobility and citizenship, and all the activities we set up sought to address this issue, by working with all our local partners. We set ourselves the following objectives : 1: Promote social inclusion by making international mobility accessible to all, and by developing a sense of belonging and European citizenship ; 2: Encourage the ecological transition and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals ; 3: Contribute to the establishment and expansion of local solidarity projects.
