The project aimed to strengthen European cooperation and develop participants' skills through two complementary components: youth worker mobility and youth exchanges. For youth worker mobility, the objectives were to promote inter-professional exchanges between child protection workers in Seine-Saint-Denis and Brussels from a variety of professions (social workers, psychologists, department heads, youth judges, school administrators). The aim of mobility was to enable mutual understanding of practices, strengthen cooperation between the two territories and create a framework conducive to sharing experiences. The project also aimed to identify and analyse innovative organisational practices that could be adapted in Seine-Saint-Denis, particularly those that prevent disruptions in care, limit the risk of violence in institutions and improve support for children with disabilities or behavioural disorders. This mobility programme also aimed to strengthen the skills of social workers by exposing them to European practices, improving their knowledge of child protection systems in partner countries and providing them with valuable international professional experience. Finally, it helped to encourage the dissemination of practices observed within teams and institutions through feedback and sharing sessions. For the youth exchange in Nijmegen, the objectives were to enable participants to experience European mobility, often for the first time, and to promote interculturality through exchanges, meetings and group activities. The project also sought to develop essential personal skills such as autonomy, self-confidence, initiative and the ability to live in a community. One of the central objectives was to raise young people's awareness of the challenges of professional integration in the participating countries by enabling them to discover different training contexts, create or improve their professional tools (CVs, interview presentations) and explore new methods, in particular the use of artificial intelligence to prepare for their future careers. The exchange also aimed to promote European citizenship through the discovery of another country and its professional, cultural and social environment. Finally, the project sought to strengthen group cohesion and create lasting bonds between young people by promoting intercultural communication, cooperation and mutual understanding. The overall aim of the project was therefore to support mobility as a learning tool, strengthen the social and professional skills of young people and youth workers, and encourage lasting European openness at both individual and collective levels.
