We aimed to immerse young people aged 18–25 in the real workings of an electoral campaign to demystify politics, build confidence, spark participation and provide clear reference points on institutions and elections. The main goal was learning by doing, through a full simulation that required public speaking, argumentation, teamwork in international groups and the creation of simple, effective digital content. We also wanted to strengthen everyday and employability skills: oral and written communication, basic digital production of logos, posters and video spots, small budget and timeline management, leadership and initiative. The project prioritised young people with fewer opportunities and used group diversity as an intercultural learning asset. The backbone was non-formal education: workshops, role-plays, structured debates, audiovisual production, collective feedback and recognition through Youthpass. All this was meant to increase understanding of democratic processes, interest in civic participation and comfort debating in English within a safe and supportive environment .
