Objectives

Our project aimed to promote intercultural exchange and the development of social skills among 51 young people aged 13-18 from 4 countries (France, Italy, Spain, and Poland). All passionate about artistic swimming, the young participants engaged in several collaborative activities: Choreography and dance workshops Digital workshops (music editing on Audacity, swimsuit design on Procreate, etc.) "The Climate Fresco" workshops, educational hikes, waste collection, creative recycling workshops Debates on European values and gender equality Gala and closing ceremony to present results and learnings The young participants exchanged diverse knowledge and experiences to create a joint project (gala/aquatic show open to the public) and collectively propose solutions to address climate urgency. Participants of "SynchroLovers EcoSplash" gained awareness about pollution and climate change. They took action against these issues by participating in various workshops such as “The Climate Fresco,” coastal waste collection, and eco-friendly sewing workshops using recycled materials for competition swimsuits. They learned while having fun. Our project aimed to teach through role-playing games, quizzes, brainstorming sessions, thematic workshops, joint training, and several outings in nature. The design activities around group choreography, where learners could use their imagination, were a very effective way to develop teamwork and open-mindedness. All activities provided young people with the opportunity to communicate in foreign languages. In small groups, they exchanged ideas and created a ballet choreography together. They sewed swimsuits, edited music, and did many other essential tasks to prepare an aquatic show presented in the form of a gala on the last day of the exchange. The event was open to the public. It was a true team effort, and the skills they acquired will serve them throughout their lives. "SynchroLovers EcoSplash" offered young participants the opportunity to travel and experience European mobility (mostly for the first time). Our project broadened their personal and cultural horizons. They discovered cultural differences. The young people had the chance to practice a foreign language they are learning at school "live." Beyond language skills, the first contact with another culture encouraged the young participants to question their own beliefs. As a result, they became more tolerant of cultural differences. The project's objectives were as follows: - Increase participants' knowledge of climate change by 30% - Each participant will develop and share a personal action plan to combat climate change in their community by the end of the exchange - Organize a closing gala where each group of 8 participants (multi-country) presents a choreography worked on during the 5 days, showcasing their learning (intercultural skills, language skills, mastery of digital tools like Trello, Audacity, Procreate, etc.) and their creativity (design and making of swimsuits, musical choreography) - Strengthen the self-confidence and self-esteem of young participants by 30% - Increase participants' knowledge of EU values - Establish an Erasmus+ support network among clubs to encourage mobility and the sharing of best practices beyond the project's duration.
