With the "Let’s Do It Fair" project, we aimed to address several current global challenges while providing a unique and transformative learning experience for young participants. Our main objective was to encourage young people to become agents of change by adopting responsible behaviors and actively contributing to the construction of a fairer and more sustainable world. To achieve this, we sought to: Provide a space for reflection on global issues: The current global trade system is often marked by economic, social, and environmental inequalities, as well as exploitative practices and opaque supply chains. At the same time, the climate crisis and the overconsumption of natural resources are putting immense pressure on the environment. Through this project, we wanted to give young people the opportunity to explore these issues, understand their connection to their own consumption habits, and identify solutions such as fair trade. Address environmental stress with concrete solutions: We observed that the climate crisis generates a form of anxiety among young people, known as "environmental stress." To help them cope with this anxiety, we aimed to cultivate "active hope" by providing them with concrete tools, opportunities for action, and inspiring examples of possible change. Our goal was for this project to serve as a source of inspiration, helping them transform their anxiety into positive and meaningful actions. Strengthen the skills and attitudes necessary for change: We aimed to help young people develop key skills such as communication, cooperation, critical thinking, problem-solving, and social responsibility. By engaging them in practical and interactive experiences, we sought to enhance their ability to act responsibly, make informed decisions, and actively contribute to their communities. Promote more responsible consumption behaviors: Through this project, we aspired to inspire young people to change their attitudes and consumption habits by adopting more responsible purchasing practices. This includes raising awareness of the social and environmental impacts of their daily choices and actively engaging in local initiatives supporting fair trade. Encourage civic engagement and democratic participation: Another key objective was to foster young people's engagement in their society. We aimed to involve them in collective discussions, participatory decision-making, and concrete actions related to fair trade and international solidarity. By connecting them with local initiatives and strengthening their sense of empowerment, we encouraged their participation in projects that have a positive impact on their communities. This project reflects the spirit and priorities of the Erasmus+ program by emphasizing active citizenship, personal development, social inclusion, and international cooperation. We aimed to provide an experience that not only enriched participants but also motivated them to engage in long-term efforts for a better future.
