Objectives

Our project aimed primarily to raise awareness among young people about the environmental impact of plastic packaging and the urgent need to reduce waste at its source rather than relying solely on recycling. We observed that overconsumption, particularly driven by social media, encourages young people to buy more, leading to an excessive production of plastic waste. To address this issue, we encouraged participants to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle by learning how to create their own cosmetic products (such as creams, deodorants, lip balms, toothpaste, etc.) using eco-friendly and natural alternatives. By integrating our project within the Erasmus+ framework, we sought to promote local and international awareness of environmental issues, highlighting the harmful effects of plastics on ecosystems while providing concrete and accessible solutions. We also aimed to enhance young people’s creativity and self-sufficiency by equipping them with practical skills to produce their own alternatives to industrial products. Through this project, we encouraged an eco-friendly lifestyle, supported active youth engagement in sustainable development, and highlighted existing alternatives to plastic. By raising awareness among younger generations, we contributed to reducing plastic waste in France and across Europe while promoting green skills and local initiatives for a more effective ecological transition.
