This project, mainly through an exchange of practices seminar and the publication of a booklet of best practices, aimed to bring together for the first time members of spaces designed with and for young people (but not exclusively) from eight European countries. These eleven associations, often face similar challenges and offer complementary solutions (due to their territories/contexts/characteristics), had a strong need for exchanges, skills development and inspirations, particularly around issues of active youth participation, especially for those with less opportunities, sustainability, intergenerational renewal and relationship/development with the territory. This project was led by CLIP, which also co-founded of a transformative space, the Maison des Utopies en Expérimentations (House of Utopias in Experimentation), which hosted the seminar in this house, thus enabling all of us to be at the heart of the reflections/inspirations/difficulties. With its 10 partners, they sought to address their main needs by: - Strengthening the capacities of participating organisations and their knowledge of mechanisms for active participation and empowerment of young people, particularly those with fewer opportunities, in the management of a space - Deepening their capacity to create links and have an impact on local areas from these spaces, in order to facilitate their ecological, social and democratic transition - Develop skills to ensure the sustainability of these places, with and through young people, within an intergenerational framework and perspective - Create the possibilities and dynamics for networking at European level around shared spaces and youth
