Objectives

REGENERATIVE LANDSCAPE is a 10 days immersive training for youth workers working with young people on permaculture, water management and self-ecobuilding. It is carried out by Les Alvéoles and designed hand-in-hand with 6 European associations. The idea is to exchange knowledge and know-how from different countries and contexts to find sustainable solutions that can be applied locally and internationally. This training aims to: -Enhance and professionalise the work of youth workers all around Europe and to support young people in learning mobility projects by high quality training through non-formal activities; -Find local to international solutions against global warming through sustainability education in youth work practices. This non-formal learning is a strong basis for peer support, peer review and self- evaluation. It provides impulses that will encourage youth workers to try new tools and invest in their personal and professional development. It is designed on human permaculture principles and uses the 8-shields concept which is practised to support a healthy, regenerative culture between living beings and humans. We have extensive experience in welcoming groups for training. Managing the freshwater cycle is at the heart of our involvement. Our usual target audience is farmers, young people and youth workers. Respectively concerned and worried about their future and the one of the youth they work with. They are looking for sustainable solutions to build a resilient world. They are bearers of a hope message for a more sustainable world for future generations and all living things. Many youth workers highlighted the lack of certification in their socio-professional sector. One of the solutions they came up with was to promote non-formal training such as Erasmus+. These observations were corroborated by the study on socio-educational activities in the EU. Aligned with political solutions offered by youth workers, we agree on the need to increase the exchange of best practices with peers to promote the value of their work, of the certificates or qualifications obtained by young people registered in a national skills framework and more partnerships. The learning model we offer supports training and quality in youth work and the opportunity to develop quality tools, skills and know-how, taking into account Europe's pluricultural aspects. There are different policy structures in Europe concerning youth workers' work. Those with a "strong practice architecture" or "a strong practice architecture with some scope for development" and those with a "partially developed or yet to be developed practice architecture". Our training aims to provide tools to fill this gap between the difference of recognition of the youth work practice. For example, in Greece, youth work is a social practice, an integral part of educational and social work, and plays an important role in supporting young people's safe, healthy transition to adulthood. In France, youth work is a professional sector closely linked to popular education. Together with our Greek partner, we’ll provide to youth workers tools such as peer-to-peer work, Non-Violent Communication and pedagogical tools to work with young people and provide them with a solid knowledge of hydrology that will ensure their future as professionals and citizens. Based on our experience at local and national level, we want to develop this network and our know-how at European scale. We believe that if we better identify and describe skills of youth workers, this will help to improve the image and recognition of youth workers all over Europe. Our training will focus on : - Permaculture -Water management; -Self-ecobuilding; -Human permaculture. It aims to : Pool our knowledge and techniques on water management, permaculture, self-ecobuilding and more to fight global warming through sustainable practices; Reduce the unemployment issue all over Europe by delivering a high quality learning by qualified trainers; Facilitate youth workers access to the labour market; Enhance the pluriculturalism dimension by gathering different European countries. Improving youth workers language skills and reinforce their EU feeling; Strengthen ties with our local communities and create a real dynamic by inviting local associations to take part of this program; Create a strong European network promoting democratic values, empowering the European feeling and developing European mobility for youth workers; Train youth workers and young people to disseminate these knowledge and know-how at European scale and to create a European network; Participate in the digital transition by including digital media; Include PFOs more specifically with the GEN Ukraine who are facing the war to participate in a more equal society. Decisions are taken collectively with the common vision of promoting the EU strategic vision on youth work through sustainable topics. Les Alvéoles remains the final decision-maker.
