Debating Divers'Ideas implements : An introductory course in civic participation Debates to exchange views on civic participation among young people with diverse backgrounds and experiences, at different levels A proposal-building process: "Understanding your power as a citizen on a daily basis" It pursues the following objectives: Help young people from all backgrounds to exercise active citizenship via an inclusive introductory course in participation, enabling them to take an interest in, express themselves on and debate current civic issues that concern them Develop proposals to promote the democratic participation of young people with fewer opportunities Promote exchanges between young people, decision-makers and public debate players from all walks of life, using participatory methods Help young people become aware of their commitment and capacity for action on a daily basis, at local, national and European levels
