The City of Saint Sébastien sur Loire is strongly committed to the deployment of a strong, ambitious youth policy that supports all young people in the area. We firmly believe in the merits of European meetings based on cultural, institutional and humanist exchange. In addition to this desire to apply for the ERASMUS system, Saint Sébastien sur Loire is especially committed to giving young people the power to act. Allowing them to fully invest in local life and to be actors in their daily lives but also in their future is the whole challenge of emancipatory support for future adult citizens. It is natural that the educational intentions of the City and the ERASMUS system then meet. It seemed appropriate to us to be able to allow our young people involved in the Youth Advisory Council to meet peers engaged like them and what could be better than to organize this meeting in the European city of Strasbourg with the Youth Council of Strasbourg and Lisse. Rich in hosting the European institutions, Strasbourg is also the fruit of a history of our continent with as many significant events as relevant innovations. Meeting young engaged citizens allows them to compare their actions, their expectations, their hopes which will feed local, national and transnational policies. The collective intelligence of our young citizens contributes nearly or remotely to re-examining our adult practices and we sincerely wish to offer them the opportunity to express themselves even more on this subject.
