Our aim was to enable students to carry out professional practice in accordance with STCW standards, thereby increasing their employability and preparing them for the requirements of the maritime industry. At the same time, we sought to strengthen the professional and pedagogical competences of our teachers so they could integrate elements of international maritime education models into our programmes, modernise teaching and ensure a more relevant and higher-quality learning process.
We implemented this project to provide our students and teachers with access to high-quality professional practice and training in line with the highest standards of the maritime sector. Due to limited opportunities for practical training in Croatia, the mobilities allowed us to access real working environments, modern technologies and practices essential for developing maritime competences and preparing participants for the labour market.
