Objectives

Our motivation was to continue focusing on mental health since young people stated that it was a relevant topic for them in the previous projects. Also, we made a transition from mental health to personal and professional development, involving also professionals in the field of youth, both in formal and non formal education. This way, we would continue contributing to the social development of the communities. A study visit served to build capacity in the network at organizational level. “Music for Mental Health” (M4Me) was a follow-up youth exchange of the previous one called “Moving for Mental Health”. We responded to the needs and wishes of participants and organizations to continue working on mental health, this edition through arts and movement. It brought young people to work in mental health again, this time through music, and continue including dances and sports. The main goal: to bring 26 young people and 6 group leaders from 6 countries to inspire each other with methods for improving their personal well being and share them in their local communities, this time focusing on music as a vehicle to deal with mental health. We wanted to continue raising their awareness about the current state of mental health in their communities as well as boosting their emotional state through the art of music. Objectives of M4Me - Gather 26 young people and 6 group leaders from different backgrounds to promote cultural diversity, giving them the opportunity to learn about other cultures while living and working in mixed nationalities. - Raise awareness about the current mental health of young people through the exploration of experiences in their local communities, reducing the stigma about taboo topics. - Reflect on the effect that arts like music have on mental wellbeing, overcoming negative attitudes as well as boosting confidence and self-esteem of the participants. - Learn how to express themselves more effectively, creatively and enhance their emotional and physical state through dancing and sportive workshops. - Provide a space to prepare a show and perform it in front of the local community to show the results of the exchange. “From Challenge to Change” (FCC) was an international training course that brought 18 participants and 2 trainers from 9 organizations. The main goal was to equip youth workers with leadership and conflict management skills, foster active participation in their communities. Objectives of FCC - Help youth workers develop confidence and practical tools for leading teams and activities effectively. - Strengthen conflict management skills, equipping the participants with techniques to handle and resolve conflicts in youth work settings. - Empower youth workers to motivate and support young people in creating community-based initiatives. - Encourage knowledge-sharing and cross-cultural cooperation to strengthen international partnerships. “Fostering Opportunities and Development in Youth” (FOODY) was a youth exchange that brought 26 young people and 6 group leaders from 6 countries to work together on the Mediterranean diet. The main goal: to empower young people through cooking, fostering collaboration, skill development and healthy habits. It allowed cultural exchange through local ingredients, recipes and personal experiences related to the food traditions, adding an emotional connection. We also wanted to raise awareness of the impact of their habits regarding food in the environment, highlighting the importance of consuming local products. Objectives of FOODY - Empower young people to take a proactive approach to their well-being by understanding the connection between nutrition, lifestyle, and health. - Encourage young people to explore and appreciate cultural heritage connected with diet traditions as a tool for fostering identity, community engagement, and intercultural dialogue. - Empower youth to become active agents of change in their communities by adopting and promoting sustainable food practices. - Give young people space to explore and critically assess the role of innovation and technology in sustainable food systems. - Inspire young people to see local food systems and gastronomy as potential motivation for entrepreneurial opportunities. “Youth work horizons” was a study visit that brought 8 youth workers, staff members and associates of Argonauta to build capacities through exchange of good practices, site visits and exploring innovative methods of youth engagement. Objectives of YWH - Exchanging good practices with Eko Greece and other local organisations in the field of youth engagement and environmental education. - Learning about tools and methodologies for effective non-formal education and active youth participation. - Exploring approaches to mobilising and sustaining youth networks in a local and international context. - Strengthening cross-sectoral cooperation and laying the groundwork for future Erasmus+ partnerships.
