Objectives

The youth exchange “Empowering Minds, Embracing Nature” was designed to enable young people to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to face the challenges imposed by modern life. In an era of busy daily routines, academic and/or work pressures, social life demands, and constant information flow, young people need tools that allow them to function effectively in everyday life. At the same time, it is important for them to be able to actively participate in the life of their community, both locally and internationally. Through experiential learning and interactive methods, the youth exchange aimed to: -Introduce young people to basic mindfulness practices and awareness techniques - Encourage young people to develop a deeper connection with nature and the need to spend quality time outdoors - Raise awareness among young people about the importance of and opportunities for their participation in democratic processes -Facilitate intercultural dialogue and experience exchange among young people from different countries -Empower young people with tools for effective stress management and mental well-being The training “Rights, Basics & Ideas” was designed to empower youth workers by deepening their understanding of human rights and acquiring tools in the field of non-formal education. The main goal was to build the capacity of participants to recognize, promote, and protect the rights of young people in their local communities. Through experiential learning and interactive methods, the training aimed to: -Increase participants’ knowledge of human rights frameworks and generations of rights -Empower them to design and implement educational activities using non-formal education methods -Develop their critical thinking and communication skills for civic engagement -Promote inclusive values and empathy through experiential learning -Encourage intercultural dialogue and cooperation among youth workers from different countries The training also contributed to long-term strategic goals such as promoting inclusivity and improving the quality of youth work by empowering participants to become multipliers of knowledge in their communities. The training “Balanced Clicks – Youth Resilience in a Digital World TC” was designed to transfer methods to youth workers to better understand and navigate the digital world, develop healthy habits for using the internet and social media, and gain insight into the positive effects of taking regular breaks from digital technologies. The training offered a structured approach providing professionals who work with young people with tools for adequate support in this area, while giving young participants space for direct reflection and experience. Special focus was placed on phenomena such as FOMO (Fear of Missing Out), oversharing, emotional detachment, short attention spans, and constant information overload. The goal was to understand the theoretical framework of these phenomena and their concrete manifestations in the lives of young people with whom the participants work. One of the key objectives was to develop strategies for creating healthier boundaries in digital routines. The training strongly focused on learning practical tools for teaching media literacy and critical thinking, tailored to today’s platforms and challenges faced by youth. It is important to emphasize that this training aimed at methodological support for navigating the digital world with greater awareness, intention, and balance. Specifically, through a five-day program, participants were expected to: Develop the ability to facilitate reflection activities that foster self-awareness about digital habits Create their own workshops adapted to their context and the groups they work with Understand how to create a safe space for discussing sensitive topics such as oversharing and digital anxiety Gain tools to work with young people of different ages and needs The study visit to Italy was designed to provide participants with practical insights into the work of the partner organization in Italy, community engagement strategies, and intercultural cooperation. We aimed to create opportunities for knowledge exchange, professional development, and networking that would have a long-lasting impact on participants’ work in their local communities. By participating in the study visit, participants gained valuable experience in acquiring new knowledge and skills, both in terms of professional growth and intercultural understanding. The objectives of the study visit were to: Introduce participants to practices and methodologies of youth work used in Italy Promote understanding of youth work approaches and youth participation based on community engagement Create opportunities for intercultural learning and exchange of good practices among youth workers Build partnerships between the two organizations (Giosef Torino and DrONe) Inspire participants to implement new ideas and approaches in their local communities
