Institute for Youth Power is a youth association that makes projects for young people, especially in helping young people with reduced opportunities. Regardless of the subject of our actions, we encourage young people to take initiative, be active and try to bring about change in their daily lives and in the lives of others. The young people we work with expressed the desire to engage in activities regarding nature and the environment. This is how we realised that the young people we work with care about environmental issues and want to promote a sustainable way of living in our society and among their peers. Our project aims at changing the environment we live in by spreading the word about the environmental issues and how to tackle them by taking simple actions. According to the Erasmus + Guide, with this project we plan to achieve the following: Environment and fight against climate change, inclusion and diversity and digital transformation. The needs we identify with this project are the following ones: • To deepen the sense of feeling part of the solution for a better environment. • To learn about green skills which can lead to a better personal impact in the communities. • To think about alternatives as possibilities for societies to be effective without losing the pace with modern technologies. • To participate more in the non-formal education activities, as well as experiencing a multicultural environment. • The participating organisations feel the need to learn more about specific methods and workshops on how to implement changes in their communities. • The motivated individuals have the same needs as the participating organisations: the need to start a change, to feel useful and active. In addition, the need for constant improvement is present. • The need to expand the partners’ network We have established several objectives to achieve: O1. To promote self-awareness about the impact people, and in this case the participants, can leave on the communities with their small action which will then lead to a betterment of the environment we live in and above all, to understand the environmental issues, the concept of sustainability, and eco-friendly practices. O2. To develop the skills, especially green ones to tackle the environmental issues effectively and to the core by taking simple actions related to sustainability. O3. To instil the intercultural dialogue between youth from various countries, to raise intercultural environment, tolerance and solidarity through active learning and non-formal and informal education methods. O4. To promote the benefits of Erasmus + Programme, its core values, to plan new activities together, as well as to strengthen the future cooperation between the partner organisations and spread the concept of networking.
