Project Youth Elections raises the competencies of young people, primarily their political literacy, and promotes active citizenship and youth participation in the democratic life of the community with a focus on participatory decision-making processes at all levels. It opens space for dialogue between young people and decision-makers at the local and regional level aiming to improve youth policies and the involvement of youth in the life of the community. The project is rooted in previous projects and collaborations, and the idea came about through the collaboration of young people from NDC and ROE, who have been closely cooperating for the past two years. Also, the project is closely related to and leans on the best practices of the No Filter project implemented by Mladforma, recognized by the European Commission. This project continues including youth in active monitoring and participation in the political life of the community, started by Mladforma before the 2021 local elections.
