Objectives

The project "Youth Program of the Municipality of Dubrava" aimed to create a sustainable, inclusive and participatory local youth policy for 2025–2028 by directly involving young people and relevant stakeholders in needs identification, co-creation and adoption of a local Youth Program. The main objectives were: - Empower young people (13–30) from Dubrava to actively participate in democratic processes through tailored non-formal education and practical exercises (focus groups, trainings, role-play). - Establish sustained channels of dialogue and cooperation between youth and decision-makers (municipal representatives, schools, county services) so youth needs shape local policy. - Produce a co-created, operational Youth Program for the Municipality of Dubrava for the next four years, embedding priorities such as EU literacy, democratic participation, green transition and digital transformation. - Build local capacity (municipality and partner NGO) to design, implement and sustain youth-focused measures and to participate in Erasmus+ activities in the future. - Promote inclusion by targeting young people with fewer opportunities (geographic barriers, rural context) and ensuring materials, outreach and logistics remove participation barriers. Expected outputs: 15 youth participation events (focusing needs, education, co-creation and dissemination), 194 direct participants (plus outreach to further 100 youth), a draft and final Youth Program submitted to and adopted by the municipal council, and strengthened local practices for youth participation and sustainability of results.
