Objectives

The aim of the project was to improve the quality and accessibility of adult education in digital skills through transnational cooperation, with a particular focus on people with fewer opportunities. Specifically, the project had two key objectives. The first was to strengthen the capacities of partner organizations by developing educators’ competences in digital pedagogy and the use of IT tools in teaching, thereby improving existing and creating new educational programs. The second objective was to develop and implement innovative blended learning programs for adults, enabling them to acquire digital skills needed for employability and active citizenship. By achieving these goals, the project contributed to greater inclusion, improved access to lifelong learning, and strengthened digital competences among target groups such as older adults, the unemployed, persons with disabilities, and NEETs.

Background

The project responds to clearly identified needs in adult education, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic, which highlighted the lack of quality and flexible learning opportunities, particularly in native-language content. A gap in digital skills was identified among adults—especially older people, the unemployed, NEETs, and persons with disabilities—limiting their access to the labor market, public e-services, and active participation in society. At the same time, partner organizations needed to strengthen their capacities in digital pedagogy and blended learning to ensure high-quality, practical programs for target groups. The project addressed these needs by developing inclusive and flexible digital skills programs and training educators in modern teaching methods. This improved access to lifelong learning and increased active citizenship. Transnational cooperation enabled knowledge exchange, innovative content development, and adaptation to diverse users, ensuring higher quality and long-term sustainability of results.
