Objectives

Specific objectives of the project were: - to promote the exchange of knowledge, the best practices and EU perspectives among partners in order to improve their everyday operations and achieve greater impact to young people; - to raise awareness about the sustainability and regenerative approach in NGOs; - to provide youth organisations with the tools and knowledge necessary to implement sustainable practices and regenerative approach, presented in a Guidebook - Sustainable future of organizations; - to build long-term international partnerships to enable further collaboration and joint development of innovative environmental projects; - to develop methodologies for inclusion of youth through environmental projects based on permaculture and cleanup actions; - to support a newcomer in the implementation of an E+ project.

Background

We applied for this project because we observed that many environmental youth organisations successfully promote sustainable practices through activities, but often struggle to ensure the long term sustainability of their own organisations. Common needs included clearer values based decision making, realistic capacity and workload management, financial resilience, and practical models for involving volunteers and young people, including those with fewer opportunities, in a way that is fair and sustainable. As a young and growing organisation, we also needed structured learning from experienced partners and a safe space to reflect on real organisational challenges. Through transnational cooperation, we aimed to exchange practices and test a regenerative approach that connects environmental impact with organisational wellbeing and quality youth work, and to turn this learning into practical tools that can be used by other NGOs beyond the partnership.
