Objectives

In today's world where digitalisation has gained momentum, social media has become a medium where individuals can share their daily lives. The concept of ‘Sharenting’, which has emerged in this process and has become widespread in recent years, that is, parents sharing their children's private moments through social media, has been revealed as an issue that society should carefully evaluate. With our project in this context, we aimed to inform and raise awareness among a wide audience, especially young people and young parents. Through our project, we aimed to draw attention to the need to protect the privacy and rights of children in the use of social media and to ensure that parents act more consciously in this regard. One of the main objectives of our project was to learn the concept of ‘Sharenting’ and to raise social awareness about important issues such as digital security, children's rights and personal privacy through this concept. In this respect, the objectives of our project are explained as follows: - To raise awareness of young people and young parents about the concept of ‘Sharenting’, - To raise public awareness on parenting, privacy, digital security and children's rights, - To emphasise that social media is not only an entertainment tool, but also a medium that requires serious responsibilities, - To show how much personal data can be accessed through shared content, - To introduce the basic elements of digital security and to increase the knowledge and skills of individuals in this regard, - To raise awareness of individuals about the permanence of their digital traces by drawing attention to important concepts such as the ‘right to be forgotten’, - To draw attention to the possible dangers of ‘Sharenting’ and to ensure that individuals act more cautiously in this regard, - To promote safe and conscious use of digitalisation by showing the benefits it offers, - To increase the visibility of the Erasmus+ Programme and disseminate the positive impact of such projects on society, - To develop the digital skills of youth workers and encourage them to work on such issues, - To explain what young people should pay attention to within the scope of socialisation, digitalisation and development, - To draw attention to the importance of communicating in a foreign language in terms of interpersonal interaction and intercultural understanding. With the project we have implemented in line with these goals, we have succeeded in contributing to the development of a more critical view of individuals' use of social media and the protection of children's rights in the digital world. Our project has been an important step towards the widespread understanding of conscious parenting in the digital age.
