With this project, we addressed challenges identified across the partner organisations involved in Erasmus+ Do It Yourself. Building on our previous experience from the Let’s Facilitate training course in October 2023, we saw that many young youth workers were highly motivated and active but often lacked the structure, confidence and concrete competences needed to develop and run their own international youth projects. In order to address this and improve the current situation, we stated our main aim: To equip young youth workers with the knowledge, skills and competences needed to take initiative in developing and implementing their own international youth projects, with a strong focus on social inclusion, diversity and international facilitation. Based on this aim, we formulated the following objectives: 1. During the 10 months of the project, 24 young youth workers would improve their international youth work competences by preparing for, participating in and following up on a 9 day long training course based on non formal education. 2. Throughout the whole project, 24 participants would deepen their understanding of how to develop Erasmus+ youth exchanges and would work in international partnerships to design concrete project ideas. 3. By the end of the project, participants would become more confident in facilitating in an international and intercultural environment, especially in English, and would be more willing to take an active role in future initiatives. 4. 24 young youth workers would strengthen their understanding of social inclusion and diversity and would learn how these aspects can be meaningfully integrated into future youth exchanges, including the involvement of participants with fewer opportunities.
