The project’s aim was to support the participating disadvantaged young people in order to make it possible for them to take part in a european trip, which provides them with the possibility of nonformal learning. On the course of the preparation and the journey we wanted to improve certain soft skills - their self-recognition, their communicational and language competences, their self-sufficiancy and proactivity, and their financial awareness. Our goal was to pay special attention to creating a sense of openness about inclusion and diversity, consequently, we wanted to encourage participants to become tolerant with eachothers difficulties, while exploring an environment somewhat different from our own culture. Expanding the participants’ field of interests was also important to us, therefore we also wanted to blur the boundaries between humanities and science. Our goal moreover was to improve environmental awareness through realising a green excursion as well as making participants understand and practice sustainability.
